This includes the laser head, the flash lamp, the rod, and the flow tubes, which helps prevent overheating. The DI Water Filter helps keep the pumped water ions at a negative charge. This keeps the water clear of dissolved solids and protects other components of the laser.

If positively charged ions continuously enter the machine, they can cause electrical static or shocks. This can burn components of the machine. Keeping your DI Water Filter in good condition also helps, in addition to a particle filter. It removes solid material such as calcium, magnesium, and sodium from the water. As a result, this can help prevent significant residue from building up in your machine. The DI water filtration process helps keep the water clean and leaves minimal residue in your aesthetic laser and IPL equipment. It also helps avoid positively charged ions that can burn your machine, keeping your equipment in good running condition.

In short, the DI water filter’s primary task is to keep the water ions at a negative charge. However, part of the water bypasses the DI Filter and flows directly into the machine. Therefore, keep all of these components in good condition whenever possible to avoid costly parts and repairs.
