Most aesthetic laser and IPL machines use water to cool the system. So the water pump circulates this water through the laser head, flash lamp, rod, and flow tubes to prevent overheating. The DI water filter keeps the water ions at a negative charge and free of dissolved solids. As a result, it protects the other components in your machine from electrical static and shocks.

The filter also removes solid material such as calcium, magnesium, and sodium before it can build up inside your machine. Therefore, a fresh DI filter keeps your cooling water clean and helps you avoid costly parts and repairs down the line.
