Generally there is a set of two detectors used to measure the amount of energy. One detector is located newar the laser head to meassure the energy going out. The other is the calport which measures it further down the line of the laser transfer. Typically a loss of about 15% of the joules is normal; however, loss of more than 30% can be a sign of issues with the delivery system ad other components. The calport window protects the calport from damage and dust particles. We recommend routine maintenance on your machine to ensure that these components are in good shape in order to avoid bigger and more costly repairs and parts down the road.
