Laser Head Protective Reflective Barium Powder Information for Candela® GentleLase
A malfunction in the laser head can cause a component, such as the laser head rod, the flow tubes, or the flash lamp, to break and create a leak. A leak in the laser head can soak the reflective barium, so a technician will need to replace the powder along with any broken components. Broken powder no longer offers the same protection, so we strongly recommend replacing it whenever you repair a laser head.
